TEHRAN The first convention of the 21st century on durable pollutants, or POPs, was approved by 120 states in Stockholm, Sweden.
The convention, entitled "Stockholm Convention" has created some restrictions on production, consumption, trade and management of twelve pollutants. The signatories to the convention have undertaken to replace the pollutants with other environment-friendly materials.
